First things first: The Word of God, the Bible<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The ancient Greek word \u201cbiblos\u201d means \u201cbook\u201d\u2014a collection of writings.
God\u2019s Word, the Bible, or THE Book, consists of 66 individual books, including the letters of the apostles\u2014which are recognized by all Christian churches.
Thirty-nine of these are in the so-called Old Testament and twenty-seven in the New Testament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And these crimes were committed in the name of the gods of nearly every religion<\/strong> in the world!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are the church!!! The Greek word ekklesia is derived from the roots ek (\u201cout\u201d) and kaleo (\u201cto call\u201d). Ekkaleo means \u201cto call out.\u201d
For this reason, the church is understood to be \u201cthose who have been called out.\u201d It is the community of believers who have been \u201ccalled out\u201d from the world. A community of people who believe in Jesus Christ can exist anywhere. It is not bound by place or time\u2014that is why we are all the church!
You are the salt of the earth and the light in the darkness\u2026 be salty and bright for HIM\u2026 in the area where you live and work! Make a difference\u2014out of love for HIM!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed! (Genesis 12:3)
The principle behind the calling of Abraham and Israel is this: Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed; whoever curses Israel will be cursed.
A principle runs through the Bible, as well as through human history:
The individual and the people who bless the Israeli people\u2014that is, who do good to the Jewish people\u2014will be blessed by God.
But whoever does evil to the members of this people will have it fall back on themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites\u2026\u201d
Be honest, mean what you say, don\u2019t promise things you don\u2019t intend to keep anyway, and don\u2019t pretend to be something you\u2019re not.
\u2026 for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners so that people will see them. Truly I tell you, they have already received their reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scripture begins with the little word \u201cif\u201d \u2026 or \u201cand if\u201d \u2026.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If I ever let my head hang down, it\u2019s only to admire my shoes!!!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is a wonderful promise in the Bible (Isaiah 61) that fits here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 <\/sup>The Spirit of the Lord, the Ruler, is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release from prison to those who are bound,
2<\/sup> to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, and to comfort all who mourn;
3 <\/sup>to bestow on those who mourn in Zion\u2014to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair\u2014so that they may be called \u201coaks of righteousness,\u201d \u201cthe planting of the Lord,\u201d for his glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have lived through the political turmoil and cultural upheavals of the 20th century and have learned to question many things that seemed self-evident in their childhood.
On the other hand, every personal life experience continues to weave into the fabric of existing and emerging patterns of faith.
Life presents challenges\u2014especially for older people and those who may require care\u2014that demand answers. The freedom to profess faith in JESUS knows no age limits. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do I need Jesus? Why does God allow so much suffering, illness, war, and hatred?
How can I experience the Father\u2019s love and a fresh start after everything I\u2019ve already been through and endured?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It begins with a cry for help that is always heard and answered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just pray aloud and with a sincere heart:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father God, I realize I need help and forgiveness for my own many wrong decisions and actions!
Jesus, please save me and make me a man of God,
who can live with dignity and strength.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prison Ministry \u2013 Ministry from and to Prisoners<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Lamentations 3:2: \u201cHe has driven me into darkness and made me walk in the dark.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verse 5: \u201cHe has shut me in (\u2026)\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verse 7: \u201cHe has walled me in so that I cannot escape; he has put me in chains.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know this is about the prophet Jeremiah, who laments his suffering to God, but let me tell you about myself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve come here today from the correctional facility here in Celle to this congregation to be baptized. I am a serious criminal and have been convicted\u2014please don\u2019t misunderstand the word \u201conly\u201d\u2014of just one of my capital crimes. It certainly has nothing to do with my childhood that I ended up in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m speaking to you about prisons, and I\u2019m talking about spiritual prisons. I\u2019ll use myself as an example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This topic applies equally to Christians, born-again Christians, and non-Christians, because I\u2019ve gone through all three stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who put me there \u2014 How I ended up there \u2014 How long I stayed \u2014 My release<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What do I have to do to get out?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dear friends, since this is about a certain kind of vitality and dynamism, please understand that I\u2019ll be jumping back and forth between different times and phases of my life.
It was I myself who ended up in one or more of the prison cells\u2014and it was I who decided how I got there. Yes, my dear friends, it was me\u2014through my own decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one else!<\/strong> Because I always had the option to say NO<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Bible challenges us to grow in knowledge\u2026 there are many kinds of knowledge and ways to acquire it\u2026 here we want to discuss knowledge about maintaining health and healing through a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
